Entre las delegaciones de 192 países que durante 182 días hicieron parte de la Exposición Universal de Dubai; se destacó el acercamiento del sistema moda y el sector primario del municipio de Dosquebradas, Risaralda, con distribuidores internacionales.

Así lo conceptuó el presidente ejecutivo de la Cámara de Comercio del Municipio Industrial, John Jaime Jiménez Sepúlveda, afirmando al mismo tiempo que, “Tenemos unas opciones maravillosas de colocación de producto, siempre y cuando hagamos transformación, y en esa ruta nos hemos traído un reto y es ayudar a los empresarios que tienen producto básico para transformarlo, llevarlo a valor agregado y que puedan acceder a estos mercados”.
En Expo Dubai 2020, la vitrina de intercambio de experiencias innovadoras frente al desarrollo económico, la Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico y Competitividad, la Administración Municipal de Dosquebradas compartió esfuerzos con la Cámara de Comercio y la Gobernación de Risaralda para acompañar a cuatro empresarios de diversos sectores, quienes conformaron la comitiva dosquebradense en el evento internacional.
Así lo dio a conocer el titular de Desarrollo Económico, Geovanny Ducuara Londoño, señalando que, “tuvimos la oportunidad de acompañar a cuatro empresarios de los sectores agroindustria, de los sectores de cafés especiales y del sector moda del municipio en efecto de poder conseguir alianzas a nivel internacional para iniciar procesos de exportación y de negocios para nuestros productos y servicios”.
Ducuara Londoño se refirió a la importancia de la participación del Municipio en vitrinas internacionales como Expo Dubai, asegurando que estas son experiencias que permiten visionar y hacer ejercicios de prospectiva para que el Municipio de Dosquebradas pueda alcanzar ese trabajo, pero también es importante tener en cuenta que son países que invierten más del 3% de su PIB en temas de ciencia, tecnología e innovación.
Aplazada por la Pandemia
Expo Dubai 2020, aplazado entonces por cuenta del COVID-19, se celebró entre el 1 de octubre de 2021 y el 31 de marzo de 2022 en el marco de las denominadas Exposiciones Universales, que cada cinco años reúnen a las naciones para generar un impacto positivo para el progreso de la humanidad.
