A través de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Agropecuario y Gestión Ambiental, la Alcaldía de Dosquebradas, se unió a la celebración del Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente con una jornada de reforestación, donde se sembraron 80 árboles de tres especies, con el objetivo de promover la recuperación ecosistémica del municipio.
La actividad estuvo liderada por la Dirección Operativa de Gestión Ambiental y se desarrolló en uno de los 44 humedales que se tienen registrados en Dosquebradas. “El humedal se encuentra en la parte trasera del Parque El Lago de la Pradera, en un predio privado. Aquí estamos haciendo una recuperación de la zona forestal a 15 metros del borde del humedal donde sembramos especies como Urapán, Quiebra Barrigo y Chachafruto”, explicó Luza Sánchez, directora operativa Desarrollo Agropecuario y Gestión Ambiental de Dosquebradas.
Por su parte, el secretario del despacho ambiental, Mateo Montoya, informó que para dicha actividad se extendió una invitación a las diferentes organizaciones y colectivos ambientales para contar con la participación ciudadana. Así mismo, mencionó que se contó con el apoyo de La Cárder, entidad que aportó el material vegetal.
