Pensando en el desarrollo urbano de Pereira, el abogado y expresidente del Concejo Municipal de esta capital, Yesid Rozo Forero, al anunciar oficialmente su aspiración de lograr el sueño de convertirse en el mandatario de los pereiranos durante los próximos cuatro años, aseguró, “yo me preparé para ser alcalde de mi ciudad”.
El dirigente político anunció que, para ese sueño, tiene la aceptación en los diferentes sectores sociales, empresariales y académicos que lo motivan a presentar su hoja de vida como la mejor opción para liderar los destinos de esta ciudad durante los próximos cuatro años; al tiempo consideró que tiene experiencia, trayectoria, formación y conocimiento de la ciudad. Invitó a todos los sectores de la sociedad y a los partidos políticos a fortalecer un gran consenso programático para esta capital.
Rozo Forero enfatizó que su proyecto político busca inicialmente lograr una convergencia donde sea posible construir su propuesta para gobernar a los pereiranos, de igual manera tendrá en cuenta una serie de prioridades, todas en beneficio de las comunidades, destacó la urgente necesidad de solucionar problemas de movilidad e infraestructura, mejoramiento de los servicios de salud y la seguridad, que sigue siendo una amenaza para muchos habitantes de la Perla del Otún.
La niñez, las mujeres, la juventud, el adulto mayor, los habitantes de calle, la igualdad de oportunidades y el empleo, también hace parte de los puntos que Rozo quiere incluir en el programa de gobierno, señala que para ello buscará los mecanismos para apoyar al empresario y los nuevos emprendimientos, con lo cual los ciudadanos tendrán mayores opciones laborales.
Advirtió que una vez sea ungido en las urnas como alcalde de Pereira, respaldará decididamente al campesinado y todo el sector rural.
