La titánica labor que viene desarrollando un profesional líder de proyectos transformadores dirigidos al servicio de la sociedad, fue reconocida por la Cámara de Comercio de Pereira, al otorgar la condecoración ciudadano Ilustre a Gabriel Jaramillo Sanint.
Fue destacado el trabajo incondicional que cumple Jaramillo enfatizando en casos puntuales como los estudios y obras para la descontaminación del río Consota; el acompañamiento para facilitar el proyecto de la Plataforma Logística del Eje Cafetero y la promoción de la construcción de una clínica de alta complejidad en Pereira: la Fundación Centro Hospitalario Tatamá.
En su intervención, el galardonado reconoció el gran apoyo que ha recibido la Fundación Centro Hospitalario Tatamá durante los últimos 3 años. Más de 3000 personas han aportado cerca de $1000 millones, que se han destinado a los estudios de prefactibilidad y factibilidad, el prediseño arquitectónico de la clínica con capacidad de 200 camas y la alianza que compromete el apoyo y determinación de la Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá para que la clínica que se construya sea su sede en el centro occidente de Colombia.

El principal objetivo de la Fundación Centro Hospitalario Tatamá es revolucionar la oferta en salud de la región para beneficiar a 3 millones de habitantes de Risaralda, Quindío, Caldas e inclusive algunos municipios del Norte del Valle y Chocó.
Actualmente, el empresario se desempeña como Presidente de la Junta Directiva y está dedicado a hacer realidad este sueño colectivo, que ya ha tenido gran acogida en la comunidad.
