Sus éxitos
Dora Libia, quien nació en la capital risaraldense un 31 de julio, es la sexta de ocho hermanos, después de estudiar Administración de Empresas y conjuntamente tomar clases de técnica vocal, se dedicó a la música popular con algunas incursiones en la tecnocumbia
“Trato de ser versátil y por eso me aventuré a sacar unas canciones en tecnocumbia, que fueron La serpiente y No me arrepiento de este amor. La experiencia fue bonita porque la gente tuvo buena aceptación”, afirmó la artista.
Durante dos años estuvo radicada en Panamá y a su regreso en el año 2005 grabó su primer trabajo musical titulado «Sueño contigo», del cual se desprenden canciones como: «Tu indiferencia», «Vete ya» y «Ángel mío», esta última la dio a conocer en toda Colombia. En el año 2007 grabó su segundo trabajo discográfico titulado «Dora Libia Más Popular» en el cual se encuentran canciones como: «A chillar a otra parte», «Eres», «Busca otro camino», «Nos cansamos los dos, a duo con El Charrito Negro» y dos canciones familiares: «A mi madre» y «Navidad sin tu amor», esta última canción es dedicada a su madre, fallecida el 24 de diciembre del 2004. Debido a su éxito inicia una gira de conciertos por toda Colombia en donde las mujeres le cantan las canciones, con las cuales se identifican. En el año 2008 recibe el premio como la mejor intérprete de música popular en Colombia, el cual repite en 2009. A finales de ese año decide grabar un sencillo tropical llamado «No me arrepiento de este amor», canción que se perfiló como un éxito rotundo.
