El primer día de septiembre de este año, Risaralda sumó 88.785 contagios, de los cuales 2229 personas han fallecido.
Teniendo en cuenta que más de 88 mil risaraldenses han sido contagiados de Covid-19, la Secretaría de Salud del Departamento con su equipo de Neumólogos, trabaja en un plan postCovid, dirigido a estos ciudadanos para que voluntariamente puedan acceder a su valoración de afectación en órganos, principalmente a nivel pulmonar.
Así lo dio a conocer el titular del despacho, Javier Darío Marulanda, precisando que desde la autoridad sanitaria se busca hacer un tamizaje de todas las personas que han sufrido la enfermedad, “queremos poder hacer unos chequeos, con espirometría, con pruebas de esfuerzo respiratorio y mirar qué tanta dificultad tienen o no; además clasificar quién necesita exámenes complementarios y quién no, y quién requiere tratamiento, para poder saber cuál fue el impacto a nivel respiratorio y las secuelas que quedaron después del Covid”, agregó el funcionario.
Lo que se busca es que de las más de 80 mil personas puedan de manera voluntaria acceder a la evaluación y, posteriormente, lograr identificar si persiste alguna enfermedad crónica que quedó después de la enfermedad; además que las EPS continúen de ser necesario el tratamiento final de los pacientes.
Dijo Marulanda que “algunas personas no tuvieron ninguna secuela, muchas otras tienen secuelas que son visibles y muchas otras tienen secuelas que aún no se han visto pero que pueden estar ahí. El primer sistema que se ve afectado es el respiratorio, entonces estamos montando un programa y es la atención postCovid”.
“Hoy vamos viendo que hay una afectación de algunos órganos más que otros, aunque el que más hemos visto afectado es el pulmón porque definitivamente hay una afectación respiratoria y no solamente en las personas que tuvieron comorbilidades respiratorias, sino personas que no sufrían de nada y que quedan con una neumonía, asintomática, pero por una restricción pulmonar que con los meses en van dando cuenta que la tienen”.
De acuerdo con el médico Marulanda, algunas personas manifiestan que después del Covid han tenido algunas desconcentraciones, algún enlentecimiento cognitivo, algunas cefaleas, vértigo y migraña; que se ha logrado despertar postCovid en algunos pacientes que no presentaban eso y algunas afectaciones cardiovasculares; “son los sistemas en los que los vamos a centrar”, precisó.
