La inscripción del aspirante a ocupar el primer cargo público de la capital risaraldense, se cumplió en un evento público que se llevó a cabo en el Gran Hotel y lo hizo ante el presidente del Directorio Liberal de Pereira Jaime Esteban Duque, y el veedor nacional de esa colectividad, Rodrigo Llanos.

Lo acompañaron los representantes a la Cámara, Diego Patiño y Juan Carlos Reinales, además de la diputada Vivian López, el concejal Carlos Torres, miembros del Directorio y su equipo de trabajo.
“Quiero agradecer primero a Dios por la oportunidad que me brinda de poder estar acá, a mi familia y a todos los amigos que hoy me acompañan, este no es un capricho mío, es la intención de un grupo de ciudadanos que siendo veedores de mi gestión pública a lo largo de los años han decidido que ya es hora de devolver algo de lo tanto que Pereira me ha brindado, gerenciando la ciudad que me ha permitido crecer tanto en lo personal como en lo profesional de lo público”, expresó el diputado en su intervención.
El cierre del acto se dio con la firma de la carta de intención del aspirante, quien una vez puso su rúbrica en el papel, entregó su intención a Jaime Esteban Duque, proclamándose como el primero que entra a la contienda electoral en concordancia con las directrices que el partido rojo de los colombianos ha trazado en esta zona del país.
