Después de permanecer por espacio de dos años al frente de la gerencia de la Lotería del Risaralda, Herman Calvo Pulgarín, presentó su renuncia irrevocable ante el despacho del gobernador de Risaralda, Sigifredo Salazar Osorio, quien mediante decreto Decreto 1004 del 21 de junio de 2018, aceptó la dimisión.
Calvo Pulgarín, quien venía desempeñando dicho cargo desde enero de 2016, agradeció la confianza depositada en él por parte del mandatario seccional, para liderar la empresa de juegos de suerte y azar, incentivar la compra de lotería y chance legal y aumentar el traslado de recursos para la salud.
Durante el tiempo que estuvo presente en la entidad descentralizada el gerente saliente obtuvo importantes logros; la Lotería del Risaralda pasó de tener un premio mayor de $800 millones a $2000 millones, y de $2400 millones a más de $6000 millones en premios y aproximaciones.
También logró el traslado del sorteo de la Lotería que se realizaba en la ciudad de Bogotá para la ciudad de Pereira y su emisión por el canal regional Telecafé.
A nivel organizacional las oficinas de la empresa se adecuaron y modificaron, se adquirió un camión tarima con todos los elementos de sonido profesional, carpas, dumis, brinca brinca, con el que la Lotería llegó a varios municipios con actividades recreativas y de promoción.
Además, durante su gerencia se dio un incremento presupuestal de más de $30.000 millones al año.
