Teniendo como base las gestiones adelantadas en salud, vivienda, turismo, agricultura, que han impactado en el desarrollo del municipio de La Virginia, el movimiento Opción Ciudadana, con su concejal Albert Johny Cortés, a la cabeza, oficializó su adhesión a la candidatura del actual representante a la Cámara, Juan Carlos Rivera Peña, .
“Estamos trabajando de la mano de Juan Carlos Rivera porque creemos que está haciendo las cosas bien por el departamento… el apoyo de la ampliación de los colegios para la Jornada Única, la gestión para las pavimentaciones de vías de los municipios, la alimentación escolar para los niños”, expresó el concejal. Y agregó que “los seguidores del movimiento Opción Ciudadana en este municipio vamos a respaldar a la Cámara de Representantes al C101”.
En tanto, Juan Carlos Rivera Peña, se mostró complacido por la aceptación que está teniendo su candidatura en otros partidos políticos: “Agradecemos al exsenador Carlos Arturo Quintero y al concejal por esta adhesión, he tenido una relación muy cordial con ellos y donde hemos gestionado para el puerto dulce”.
Añadió el dirigente político, que en La Virginia los proyectos liderados son “el tema de Miralindo, el centro de acopio, y vamos a fortalecer el turismo con la recuperación del río Cauca, y enlazarlo con el proyecto de fachadas que adelanta la Gobernación”.
Por su parte, el exsenador Carlos Arturo Rivera Marín, expresó que “estamos haciendo un trabajo con nuestro movimiento Opción Ciudadana tomo la decisión de ayudarle al Representante Juan Carlos Rivera, el cual todos nuestros concejales y todo nuestro equipo de trabajo estará enfocado para que el doctor Rivera llegue nuevamente a la Cámara de Representantes”.
También la comunidad ha sentido el respaldo del Representante a la Cámara, así lo dijo Martha Cecilia Agudelo Londoño: “Excelente porque nos da la oportunidad a todas las personas, como madre cabeza de hogar, víctima del maltrato físico y sicológico, para que nos ayuden para salir adelante… y ha ayudado en la salud, en las vías y en otros ámbitos”.
Por su parte, John Jairo Ramírez, otro líder del municipio, dijo que “Juan Carlos Rivera ha venido realizando una labor desde el Congreso y ha traído muchos recursos con el Senador Samy Merheg, y en el tema de La Virginia ha traído recursos para los jarillones, los nuevos colegios y por eso lo estamos apoyando”.
De esta manera, el C 101 sigue sumando seguidores a su campaña para continuar con una curul en la Cámara de Representantes.
