Risaralda estará presente en la Feria Mundial del Café a la que asisten las máximas muestras del bebestible de todo el planeta
En el Specialty Coffee Expo de Boston, USA, que tendrá lugar del 8 al 10 de abril, serán presentados 10 cafés especiales de Risaralda y uno de ellos pertenece al emprendedor Felipe García.

Hace dos semanas la RAP, Región Administrativa y de Planificación del Eje Cafetero, entregó los resultados y calificaciones de 31 muestras de cafés especiales que fueron catados en los laboratorios del Comité Departamental de Cafeteros por los instructores de la Escuela Nacional de la Calidad del Café del SENA Risaralda Pedro Pineda, Héctor Fabián Yepes, Victor Cuervo y Alejandra García.
Entre los cafés seleccionados, Felipe García, de Dos Cosechas logró el segundo lugar con un café definido por los expertos como blend castillo de características sensoriales en fragancia y aroma floral, caña, mora, sandía, sabor limoncillo y residual mandarina, acidez cítrica jugosa y cuerpo medio delicado, obteniendo un puntaje en taza de 86.25.
“Quedar en segundo lugar en una competencia con varios cafés de nuestro departamento resalta los atributos de los cafés de Dosquebradas, pero sobre todo el esfuerzo que vienen haciendo todos los colaboradores de Dos Cosechas para que nuestro café todos los días sea reconocido a nivel municipal, y ahora a nivel mundial” destacó Felipe García al recordar que es beneficiario del Fondo Emprender con recursos por 120 millones de pesos, los cuales le han permitido generar 4 empleos directos y cerca de 10 empleos indirectos, comprar una máquina expreso-italiana de alta capacidad para cafés especiales, realizar adecuaciones locativas y fortalecer su talento humano a través de capacitaciones en diferentes áreas.
“Tengo un profundo agradecimiento por el apoyo brindado por el SENA Risaralda, porque si bien el recurso económico es importante, vale mucho el acompañamiento institucional que prestan y que nos sirvió para fortalecer nuestro negocio en todos los campos”, puntualizó el emprendedor.
