Tal como está contemplado en el cronograma de obra, este martes arrancó la instalación de adoquines de la Plaza de Bolívar, concretamente en la calle 20, frente a la Catedral de Pereira, según lo anunció el Secretario de Infraestructura de Pereira, Harol Calderón.
La intervención de las carreras séptima y octava y la calle 20, inició el pasado 14 de enero y el propósito es que los nuevos adoquines queden instalados a más tardar el próximo 21 de marzo, antes de que se inicie la Semana Mayor.
Los adoquines antiguos, en cemento, serán reemplazados por adoquines en gres, que soportarán mejor el tráfico. Hacía 20 años que no se intervenían y el deterioro era evidente.
La inversión total es del orden de los 487 millones de pesos.
Ante las voces ciudadanas que piden mayor celeridad en las obras, el Secretario de Infraestructura sostuvo que una vez empezaron las primeras excavaciones se encontró gran cantidad de material como pavimentos antiguos, concreto y asfalto, lo cual ya fue solucionado.
“Entendemos la preocupación de los ciudadanos, sabemos que este tipo de obras causan incomodidad, pero eran absolutamente necesarias”, afirmó el Secretario de Infraestructura de Pereira.
