El Concejo Municipal de Dosquebradas aprobó el Proyecto de acuerdo que le da vida a la Comisión Legal para la Equidad de la Mujer; la iniciativa fue construida de manera conjunta entre las cuatro concejalas dosquebradenses, María del Pilar García (Partido Mira), Maritza Mejía Jiménez (Partido Cambio Radical) Gloria Patricia Londoño (Partido Liberal) y Tatiana López S. (Partido de la U).
El Acuerdo que está para sanción del Alcalde Diego Ramos, tiene por objeto fomentar y promover las acciones necesarias para la consolidación de una política de Estado en el Municipio, que repercuta en el mejoramiento de las circunstancias materiales e inmateriales de la mujer en la sociedad, propendiendo por la eliminación de cualquier situación de desigualdad y discriminación que se presente en el ejercicio de la ciudadanía por parte de las mujeres, así como luchar contra la violencia de género, procurar el empoderamiento de la mujer e impulsar la educación en equidad de género.
La Gobernación de Risaralda, a través de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Social acompañó al Concejo Municipal de Dosquebradas en la creación de la Comisión Legal para la Equidad de la Mujer.
“Aplaudimos este logro y nos llena de orgullo ver como desde el nacimiento de la Política Pública de la Mujer y Equidad de Género departamental respalda esta iniciativa municipal para continuar trabajando por la dignificación del rol de la mujer en la sociedad, por el respeto y la equidad” destacó Elizabeth Diosa, Secretaria de Desarrollo Social de Risaralda.
Además, la funcionaria recordó que dentro de su despacho se encuentra la dirección de la Mujer y Equidad de Género, componente desde el cual se disponen recursos para adoptar y adaptar la Política Pública en sus tres componentes: Vida, Voz y Oportunidades y anunció que en cumplimento de sus compromisos, el gobernador Victor Manuel Tamayo creará la Secretaria de la Mujer.
Igualmente, Alejandra Cortes, Directora de Mujer y Equidad de Género ratificó el compromiso que tiene el actual Gobierno por promover la creación de esta Comisión en el resto de los municipios.
“Estamos absolutamente comprometidos con que esta Comisión pueda ser abierta en todo el departamento ya que es un punto de partida importante para que a la mujer le sean reconocidos sus derechos, para que tenga participación activa en los diferentes escenarios que se construyen a nivel departamental, regional y nacional”
