Después de su designación por parte del Gobierno nacional, como nueva Cónsul en Madrid, España; la abogada pereirana, Ana Carolina Pérez Bohórquez, ha sido objeto de una serie de reconocimientos, que a la vez se convierten en despedida protocolaria antes de partir al país europeo.
En un acto especial, el Gobernador de Risaralda, Sigifredo Salazar Osorio le entregó una resolución de reconocimiento a la diplomática nombrada por el Presidente Iván Duque Márquez, como Ministra Consejera con funciones consulares, adscrita al Consulado General Central de Colombia en Madrid, ante el Reino de España.
El mandatario de los risaraldenses le auguró un excelente desempeño en favor de las relaciones diplomáticas de Colombia y España, al tiempo que la invitó a convertirse en “embajadora para promocionar a Risaralda en este país y el resto de Europa”.
La nueva Cónsul es abogada egresada de la Universidad Libre de Pereira, con especialización en Derecho Administrativo, Derecho Público Financiero y maestría en Derechos Humanos, catedrática de Derecho Constitucional, Derechos Humanos y Derecho Internacional Público, y doctorado en Derecho Internacional Humanitario.
Pérez Bohórquez ha trabajado en el Congreso de la República; el Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar; la Lotería de Risaralda; la Defensoría del Pueblo; la Personería Municipal de Pereira y la Promotora de Vivienda de Risaralda.
